Edinburgh's self catering Castle Apartment is very central, situated in the Old Town of Scotland's capital. The holiday flat is in a newly renovated traditional stone-built tenement built in the 1850's. There is a magnificent view of Edinburgh Castle from the living room window. It's a great home base for independent travel on a Scottish vacation. The warm and comfortable interior has been completely modernised this year including full gas central heating and a brand new kitchen.
The Castle Apartment bedroom has a quiet, calm ambience and is situated at the back of the flat.

BEDROOM: The new enormous double bed (American Emperor size) can be easily split into two full-width singles if required. Small children and babies are welcome with a crib available on request.
The completely refurbished Castle Apartment kitchen has everything for a self-catering vacation.

KITCHEN: It comes with all these appliances brand new: Washing Machine/Dryer, Fridge, Gas Hob and Oven, Microwave and Toaster

LIVING-ROOM: The Castle Apartment living room has a couch that transforms simply into a double bed with a good mattress and proper support. All bedding is provided. The living room floor has a new laminate surface and a frosted glass coffee table and additional chairs. Home comforts such as radio and a CD player are provided. There are books and reading material for the visitor to Scotland. Games and toys are also provided for younger children.

LOCATION: Castle Apartment is in Edinburgh's Grassmarket, an area full of history. This large open square was the scene of public hangings, the Porteous Riots and the haunt of the notorious body snatchers, Burke and Hare. There is a wonderful selection of specialist shops, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep and it is only a three-minute walk to the Edinburgh Royal Mile. At the top of the Royal Mile is Edinburgh Castle and at the bottom is the Royal Palace of Holyrood and the stunning new Scottish Parliament building. A peaceful extensive park, the Meadows, lies only a few minutes walk away from Castle Apartment.
