This lovely holiday apartment is in the charming old town of Beaucaire, gateway to Provence and Languedoc in the south of France. Its large private terrace faces the River Rhône, with a view of the castle of Tarascon in Provence, just across the river. The handsome stone building was originally a rich merchant's mansion, named Hôtel du Luxembourg.
Recently renovated and decorated with original art work, the apartment is quiet and sunny with 5 m (16 ft) high ceilings. The spacious terrace, set out with potted plants, has a table and chairs for eight, shaded by two umbrellas. Sheets and towels are provided.
The apartment is within walking distance of all Beaucaire’s attractions. Stroll along the river dike towards Beaucaire’s picturesque ruined castle, or enjoy a meal or a petit café in the cafes and restaurants in the picturesque old square just around the corner. Walk through narrow 17th century streets to the lively canal promenade and the open-air markets and shops.
